Happy hour with zaatar breadsticks

The best way to have these zaatar breadsticks is with dips such as hummus, tzatziki, taramasalata and guacamole.


We couldn't help trying these ones out! They are very easy to make at home which means you know exactly what is going in your snack!


Just add some zaatar spread in your dough, make thin rods and bake in the oven until golden!


Ingredients:

380g Organic Strong White Flour

Dry Yeast

195ml Warm water

1 and 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Zaatar Mix

Olive oil for brushing the top



Preparation:

Mix the flour, yeast, salt, and warm water together, then add the zaatar and mix again until it is all homogenous. Cover the dough with a cloth and leave it to rise for an hour or so.


Flour the surface and make 25cm long rolls. Place them 4 cm apart on a baking parchment lined tray and brush them with olive oil, or some more of the zaatar spread to give them an extra crunchy golden glow.


Bake for 20-25 min or until golden. Place them on a drying rack to cool down.


They would last amazingly well for 5 days in a closed container.
